The Client.

Agua Vida Pools & Outdoor Living is the outdoor living arm of Stephen Alexander Homes, a tier-one custom home builder based in Virginia Beach. The team designs and builds luxury pools, pool houses, pergolas and complete resort-style backyards across Coastal Virginia, with typical projects running from the low six figures to well over $1M. Because an Agua Vida pool house is real architecture, with foundation, plumbing, power, engineering and permits handled by a home builder, their ideal customer is a homeowner investing in a complete backyard rather than someone shopping for a kit or a quick install.

The Challenge

A luxury product with a website that could not sell it.

Agua Vida had the craftsmanship and the backing of a respected builder, but almost no way to capture demand online. The existing Squarespace site read like a brochure, and nothing was in place to run paid traffic against it: no conversion-focused pages, no tracking and no system to follow up on the high-ticket inquiries the brand deserved.

A Site That Undersold the Work

The legacy site did not communicate the luxury, fully custom nature of the projects, and pool houses and pergolas barely existed on it. A visitor arriving from an ad had nowhere convincing to land.

No Conversion Infrastructure

There were no dedicated landing pages, no thank-you page for conversion tracking and no consistent forms, so paid campaigns could not be measured, let alone optimized.

Leads Without a Pipeline

Inquiries arrived by email and phone with no CRM behind them. Follow-up depended on memory, attribution was guesswork, and a $300k project could slip through the cracks as easily as a $15k one.

The Solution

A conversion system built to match the product.

We rebuilt the pages that matter, connected every form to a CRM, and launched Google and Meta campaigns on top of a funnel designed for high-ticket decisions.

- Deliverable 01

Landing Pages Built for Paid Traffic

We redesigned the Home, Pools, Full Backyard, Contact and Thank You pages in Squarespace, then built two dedicated PPC landing pages: one for custom pools and one for pool houses and pergolas.

  • Positioning: "built by a home builder, not a deck company", with permits, engineering and coastal wind loads handled, which separates Agua Vida from kit installers and pool-only builders.
  • Conversion-first layout: the quote form above the fold, a trust strip, honest price ranges, real Google reviews and project photos, a five-step process and a FAQ, all on a single page with no exits.

CRM Implementation

Every form on the site, including the embedded landing page forms, now feeds a CRM so no inquiry depends on an inbox.

  • Pipeline and attribution: each lead lands in a pipeline stage with its source, campaign and landing page attached, so the team knows which ad produced which project.
  • Follow-up built in: automated notifications and a dedicated thank-you page give the sales team a clean hand-off and give the ad platforms a reliable conversion signal.

Google & Meta Ads

We rebuilt the Google Ads account around high-intent local searches and added Meta campaigns to reach homeowners planning a backyard project.

  • Search: campaigns for pool builders, pool houses and pergolas across Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and the rest of Hampton Roads, with ad copy that mirrors the landing pages.
  • Social: Meta campaigns built on project photography and video to create demand ahead of the search, reviewed every two weeks against pipeline data from the CRM.

The Results

Measured in signed contracts, not clicks.

In the first 90 days of the new funnel, $15,000 in ad spend produced more than a million dollars in qualified pipeline and $468,000 in closed business, a return that only happens when the pages, the CRM and the campaigns are built as one system.

Closed Business

$468k

Signed projects attributed to the new landing pages and campaigns in the first 90 days.

Pipeline Value

$1.07M

Qualified, quoted opportunities in the CRM from paid traffic over the same period.

Ad Spend

$15k

Total Google and Meta media investment across the 90-day window.

Return on Ad Spend

31x

Closed business divided by media spend. With the open pipeline included, it is 71 to 1.
